GPS Alarm

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 31 August 2026

GPS Alarm is an iOS app that rings an alarm when you get close to a place you chose. This policy explains what the app does with data. The short version: your location never leaves your device, and we do not collect personal data.

Location

GPS Alarm uses your location to know when you arrive near a destination. This is done entirely on your device, by iOS itself: the app registers the area around each armed alarm with the system, and the system wakes the app when you enter it. Your position, your destinations and your movement history are never sent to us or to anyone else, and we have no server that could receive them.

The app asks for location access "Always" so the alarm can wake it while it is closed. You can change this at any time in Settings; the app keeps working for as long as it is open, but it cannot wake you if it is closed without that permission.

What is stored on your device

These stay in the app's private storage on your device. Deleting the app deletes them.

Purchases

GPS Alarm is unlocked with a one-time purchase or a weekly subscription, handled by Apple through the App Store. Payment details never reach the app.

To confirm that your purchase is active — including on a new device or after restoring — the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier generated by the app (not your name or Apple ID), the App Store transaction information for your purchase, and basic device information (device model, iOS version, app version, and the IP address of the request as part of normal network communication). RevenueCat's own privacy policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.

No other third party receives any data from the app.

What we do not do

Children

GPS Alarm is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published at the same address with a new effective date. Changes that affect what data is processed are also described in the app's release notes.
