Wake up at your stop
GPS Alarm rings when you reach a place, not a time. Set a destination, doze off on the train, and get woken at your stop — through Silent mode, Focus, and with the app closed.
How it works
- Search for a place or press and hold the map, then choose how close counts as arrived (100 m to 5 km).
- Saving arms the alarm. Up to 20 alarms can be armed at once.
- When you enter the zone, a full-screen system alarm rings. It rings once, then stays on your list switched off, ready for next time.
Permissions the app needs
- Location "Always" — so the alarm can wake the app while it is closed. Choose it when asked, or set it later in Settings › GPS Alarm › Location.
- Precise Location — arrival zones need it; keep it on.
- Alarms — lets the alarm ring through Silent mode and Focus.
If any of these is missing, the app shows a banner with a shortcut to Settings.
The alarm did not ring?
- Check the banner in the app: location "Always", Precise Location and Alarms must all be allowed.
- Arming an alarm while you are already inside its zone does not ring — it waits for your next arrival.
- Underground, in tunnels or in Low Power Mode the ring can arrive late; iOS decides when it sees your location.
Purchases
- GPS Alarm is unlocked once with Lifetime, or with a Weekly plan that renews until cancelled in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions.
- New phone or reinstalled? Tap Restore purchases on the unlock screen.
- Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
