Which iPhones does Wordsmith work on?
Wordsmith's coach runs on Apple Intelligence, so it needs an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence, with it turned on in Settings, under Apple Intelligence & Siri, and iOS 27 or later.
Why is a source marked "Draft"?
Its takeaways were found by the model on your iPhone, reading in parts. Keep what's useful and skip the rest.
Can Wordsmith read a YouTube video?
Not from a link yet. Paste the video's transcript into Add a source instead: YouTube shows it under the video's description ("Show transcript"), and when you add a YouTube link, Wordsmith also suggests a separate service, youtube-transcript.ai, where you can copy it (it's your choice to use it, under its own terms). Paste the whole page and Wordsmith keeps the video's title and link. Or tap Listen in Add a source and play the video out loud; Wordsmith keeps listening while you switch apps.
Adding from another app
In Safari, Photos or any app that can share, tap Share, then Wordsmith. It takes a link, a screenshot or text, and says "Saved to Wordsmith". The next time you open Wordsmith, Add a source opens with it and finds its takeaways.
Speaking isn't working
Check that Wordsmith may use the microphone (Settings, Wordsmith, Microphone). The first answer may wait while your iPhone downloads its speech model. You can always type an answer instead.
Restoring a purchase or managing a subscription
Wordsmith Pro is a weekly subscription or a one-time Lifetime purchase. To get either back on a new iPhone, open Settings from the Today tab in Wordsmith and choose Restore purchases. A weekly subscription can be managed or cancelled there too, or in the iPhone's Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions. Lifetime never renews.
